MELANIE NICHOLS

Senior Pastor

Pastor Melanie is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary. Born in Catawba County, she completed her undergraduate at Appalachian State University. Her passion is making Disciples. She stands firm on God’s Word as the authority for our lives.

She is married to the Rev. Keith Nichols and their son is the Rev. Matt Nichols. Melanie is blessed with a daughter in-love who is a strong woman of faith. Pastor Melanie has two grandsons who have "filled her quiver”. Oakley and Cassian are the icing on the cake to all that life offers!

In addition, Melanie and Keith have a delightful Yorkie named Thorin. The family’s favorite hobbies are playing with the grands, camping, kayaking, fishing and traveling.

Jill Lowe - Office Manager

Jill joined Vanderburg in Sept. 2024 as Office Manager. A Mooresville native, she is married to Robbie Lowe, and they have 2 adult children and 6 grandchildren. Jill is founder and director of Felicity Manor, an outreach to Mooresville area widows and widowers. Jill and her husband reside in Mooresville and also serve with Lisa in the Freedom Connections ministry serving women with feminine hygiene and undergarments through her Maidens & Matrons Boutique.

Lisa Zeggert - Worship Leader

Lisa joined Vanderburg in Sept. 2024 as Worship Leader. A Mooresville native, she is married to Andy Zeggert. They have 2 adult children and 1 grandchild, Maggie. Lisa is co-founder of a homeschool co-op, Freedom Connections Academy, offering arts, drama and music to area homeschool students. She and her husband reside in Mooresville and serve their ministry, Freedom Connections, an outreach church, outside the 4 walls, located in Mooresville.
